Before Alpha Xi Alpha was founded, there was Vera, the first Wisterian and Mistress of Enchantment. Though gifted in powerful magic, Vera sought not power, but purpose. Vera possessed a rare ability to transform into the Aetheryn, a legendary guardian symbolizing transformation, wisdom, courage, and limitless possibility. Unsure of her calling, she journeyed across the realms in search of answers. Her path led her to the sacred Veiled Grove, where she discovered the Looking Glass. Instead of reflecting who she was, it revealed whom she could become—a leader, guide, protector, and teacher. Vera realized that true growth comes from embracing the potential already within. She remained in the Grove, welcoming others seeking purpose.

 

Together, they formed a community known as the Wisterians, united by self-discovery, encouragement, and lifelong connection.

 

From their teachings came four sacred symbols:

The Binding Knot – Sisterhood
The Aetheryn – Transformation
 

Generations later, Vera's legacy inspired the founding of Alpha Xi Alpha Sorority, Inc., a sisterhood built upon the pillars of

Enchantment, Growth, Connection, and Purpose.

Every Wisterian continues Vera's journey—discovering her purpose, embracing her transformation, and

remembering that where reflection becomes destiny, greatness begins.
